A proud Wellingtonian, Brian has lived and worked in Wellington for over 30 years. “Much of my photography reflects what I love about this region. I see beauty in the natural and man-made world around me. I hope my images bring you much joy and fond memories.”
What started as my hobby soon became a true passion. “Photography is about capturing the moment, one that will live in your memory for years to come. Great photos allow other people to share that moment, communicate meaning and create desire.”
Occasional blogs
Photography reminds me to open my mind as well as my eyes. Sometimes what I see conjures up bizarre tales of nonsense, such as when watching New Zealand's shorebirds going about their day-day lives.
Chance encounters remind me that 'exotic' can be anywhere. A neighbour even alerted me to the presence of a beautiful giant kokopu in an urban stream behind my home. Few New Zealanders see them when they are beautiful adult fish but many know, and eat, their young offspring as whitebait.
